Setup – First Time Running DataHush

Once the DataHush program has been installed on your system, you need to set it up for daily operation. Click on the DataHush program icon illustrated above.

Installation Password

The first time you run DataHush, it will ask for the **installation password**. This is the installation password that was supplied with your program disks (**For the beta test, the password is 'chipster'**).

Enter the installation password and click **ok**.

Splash Screen

Once the installation password has been entered, the DataHush software will start to load. During loading, you will see the ‘splash’ screen shown below. This indicates the progress of the program as it loads. If you have a very fast system, this screen may disappear rather quickly.

Setup Agreement Panel

Once the program has loaded, you will see the **Agreement panel** shown below. You must agree to be bound by the software license agreement before the software will install. You should read the agreement carefully to decide if you wish to continue. If you do not agree to be bound by the license agreement, click on the **<Don’t Accept> button** and the program will terminate.

Setup Welcome Panel

Once you have clicked on the **<Accept> button**, you will see the ‘Welcome’ panel shown below. A series of panels will guide you through this initial setup.

DataHush has been designed to transfer keys via a secure private modem access. During this part of the initial program setup, it will search for a modem on your system. The status panel at the bottom of the screen shows the progress of this search.

Clicking the **<Next> button** guides you through the following panels. For the **Beta version** of the program, the values entered are stored, but not used. To make the installation easier, simply click on the next button until it changes to **<Finish>**.

The change password screen has been disabled. Your screen will be similar to that shown below, but the password field will contain the installation password. **Do not change anything!** Simply click on the **<Next> button** to continue.
